1. League Structure

 

1.1. Definition of Terms



1.1.1. Game

An instance of competition on the Summoner’s Rift map that is played until a winner is determined by one of the following methods, whichever occurs first: (a) completion of the final objective (destruction of a nexus), (b) one Team surrendering the Game, (c) or a Team forfeiting.

 

1.1.2. Match

A set of Games that is played until one Team wins a majority of the total Games (e.g., winning two Games out of three (“best of three”)). The winning Team will advance to the next round in a tournament format. In a “best of one” format, the terms Game and Match may be used interchangeably.

1.1.3. Heat

Heats are a set of games scheduled to be played in a single Sunday evening. Teams can expect to play 1-3 games or a best of three (Bo3) series.

1.1.4. Season

Scheduled league play that will occur over an approximately four-month period of time. A season will be divided into three events (Pre-Season Open, Regular Season, and Grand Tournament). Each Season will consist of eight (8) phases: (a) Bracket Draw, (b) Bracket Stage, (c)  Regular Season, (d) Divisional Playoffs, (e) Divisional Gauntlet, (f) Group Draw, (g) Group Stage, and (h) Knockout Stage.

1.1.5. Team

Teams must have a minimum of six (6) players.

​

1.1.6. Division

Division is a group of six (6) to eight (8) teams that are independently organized to compete in a regular season amongst each other. Divisions are organized like professional regions.

​

1.2. Event Format

​

1.2.1. Pre-Season Open

The Pre-Season Open is a single elimination, Best of One tournament. All teams will be placed into a single pool and randomly drawn. The drawing will assign a seed to each team slotting them into the tournament bracket. The bracket stage will be played out until the tournament has eliminated all but one. The finals will be streamed and casted by the LAS team. The winning team will have a banner hung on the LAS website.

If the previous Grand Champion returns, that team will automatically receive the number one (1) seed.

​

1.2.2. Regular Season

The LAS Regular Season is a double round robin, Best of One played amongst six (6) to eight (8) teams that are organized into an independent division. The games are divided into "heats" that consist of two (2) to three (3) games per night. After the double round robin, the top four (4) teams move into the divisional playoffs, while the bottom two (2) to four (4) teams are placed into the divisional gauntlet. 
 

1.2.2.1. Divisional Playoffs

The divisional playoff consists of a single elimination, fixed bracket, Best of Three match. Seed 1 will face seed 4 and seed 2 with seed 3. The winner of the playoffs will have a Divisional champion banner on the LAS website.

1.2.4. Tiebreakers
In a situation of any ties, all tiebreaker games will be scheduled for the immediate following Monday. These games will not be able to be rescheduled.  Games will be scheduled for any time between 7:00pm-10:00pm EST.

 

Two Team Tiebreaker- If two (2) teams hold the same record at the end scheduled play, each team will be compared in a Head-to-Head record. If one (1) team has won both games against the other, that team will automatically win the tiebreaker. If the Head-to-Head record has each 1-1 against each other, a Bo1 game will be played on Monday under rule 1.2.4.  The winner of the Bo1 will win the tiebreaker.

Three or More Team Tiebreaker- If three (3) or more teams hold the same record at the end of the scheduled play, each team will be randomly placed into a Bo1 bracket. The bracket will include additional games for losing teams to determine all finishing seeds.


2. Team Member Eligibility

2.1. Rosters

​

2.1.1. Player Account Rules

-The account must be a NA based account.

-The LAS account must hold a level of 100 and above.

-Players can only be registered with a single LAS team at a time.

-Players highest ranked account must have 2 previous seasons of being ranked.

​

2.1.2.  Multiple Accounts
If a player has multiple accounts, they must use their highest ranked account for the LAS Season.

 

All other accounts must be disclosed with the LAS. If the LAS discover any account during or after a Season, the LAS has the right to revoke championships and banners from teams and can dismiss the player.

​

2.1.2.1 Name Change
Players must contact the LAS through tickets anytime an account name has been changed.  Failure to do so can lead to a player ineligible for games and also a suspension.

​

2.1.3. Team Roster

Rosters are divided into two (2) sections: Starters and Substitutes. Starters are the expected players for the team each week. Substitutes are players/accounts that have been approved by the LAS in advance and can be used with a penalty on game day.

​

2.1.3.1. Starting Roster

A team must have a minimum of six (6) starting players registered on a roster.

​

2.1.3.1.1. Platinum Exception 

A team can have one (1) player that has held the rank of Platinum III or IV in the previous seasons.

​

2.1.3.2. Substitute Roster

A team may have up to four (4) substitutes pre-approved by the LAS on their roster.

​

2.1.3.2.1. Substitution Ban Loss

If a team needs to use a Substitute player from their roster, the following penalties will apply.

 

-One (1) Substitute results in losing zero (0) bans in draft.

-Two (2) Substitutes results in losing one (1) ban in draft.

-Three (3) Substitutes results in losing three (3) bans in draft.

-Four (4) Substitutes results in a FORFEIT, this includes using Subs and E-Subs.

2.1.3.2.2. Emergency Substitution Ban Loss

If a team needs to use an Emergency Substitute outside of their roster, following penalties will apply. Note the E-Sub must be Gold and under.

 

-One (1) Substitute results in losing three (3) bans in draft.

​

2.1.3.2.3. Emergency Substitution & Substitution Steps

Teams must tag each opponent they face in the discord under the channel "emergency-sub" and state which player will be substituting against them. They also must posting the player's OP.GG. This is done for both Subs and E-Subs.

​

2.1.3.3. Roster Lock
Pre-Season Open roster will be locked on the tournament start date.

 

Regular Season roster will be open for unlimited changes until March 19th 2023. (Spring Break)  
 

After the lock of March 23rd, teams can make 1 change per LAS week until April 9th (Easter).  This is either adding/dropping a player or moving a SUB to STARTING and vise verse. 

​

After April 9th (Easter), rosters become locked and no changes are allowed for the remainder of the Season.

​

2.1.3.6. Platinum+ Players

With the exception of rule 2.1.3.1.1. no player of the rank Platinum and higher in any previous seasons is permitted to compete in the LAS Tier II Divisions.

​

2.1.3.7. Current Rank
Players are eligible to climb to Platinum 1-99 LP during the LAS season.

​

2.1.4. Coaches

-Each team can have a single coach in the team's voice channel for drafting. 

-Team coaches must immediately leave the voice channel once the loading screen hits. 

-Any team caught with any communication with a coach past draft or in game will be penalized.
 

​

3. Game/Match Process

​

3.1. Scheduling Match

All matches will have a date and time scheduled under the Divisions & Event tab. Teams are required to coordinate their with the opponent team to a custom tournament draft lobby.   

​

3.1.1. Competitive Patch

The LAS will always play on the most current and up to date patch. League patches can occur mid-event and the newest patch will be the patch the LAS will play on. This means all new champions are available to play.

​

3.1.2. Side Selection

Regular season and group stage games already assigned which team selects sides. Bracket play side selection is determined by the highest seed. In Best of Threes, the losing team may have side selection for the next game in the match. For gauntlet, the team sitting higher in the gauntlet receives side selection.

​

3.1.3. Discord Team Chat

Any LAS game being played, all teams must use the LAS team chat channel. This allows the LAS and opponents to see you and your team are present and makes it easier for people to communicate. Team chat is limited to the starting 5 players and a coach for draft only.

​

3.1.4. Streaming Games/Matches

Players may stream any LAS game or match on any platform outside of the LAS Discord.

​

3.2. Pre-Game/Match Setup

​

3.2.1. Setup Time
All matches will have a date and time scheduled under the
Divisions & Event tab. Teams are required to coordinate their teams to get the game/match started on time. Teams have a maximum of 10 minutes from the scheduled match time to be online before a forfeit has been called. A team is not penalized with a forfeit if the allotted 10 minutes is exceeded if the team was competing in a previous LAS game that ran long.  Once the team is available the scheduled game will be played out as soon as possible in accordance with rule 3.3.5..

3.2.2. Drafting
The LAS requires all teams to use DraftLoL, which is a third party draft aid. See the direct link below:

The default settings of DraftLoL must be used. Any changing of the timers on bans or champ selection can result in penalties.

​

3.2.3. Draft Selector Error

Players can experience glitches throughout the drafting process both with DraftLoL and the League Client. If so, the team experiencing the glitch must immediately leave the game/draft before any other selections can be made and contact the opponent with the specific error. The game/draft will be re-hosted, and the same draft must be conducted up until the glitched point.

3.2.4.  Rescheduled Games/Matches

In order to reschedule a game or match, both teams agree on a date and time. They must post their rescheduled game information in the #reschedule section on the LAS discord. Tag the teams that are requesting the reschedule.

 

Each reschedule game/match must be played before the next LAS scheduled Sunday.

3.2.5. Pre-Game Lobby Order
When in Pre-Game lobby awaiting draft to start, teams must be in LCS order to clearly show where players will be playing.  This order is as follows:

 

-TOP

-JUNGLE

-MID

-ADC

-SUPPORT

 

Once both teams has organized in the correct order, the 10 minute scouting time for rule 2.1.4. starts.

3.2.6 Role & Lane Swap
Once the draft has concluded in the LoL Client, teams may swap champions up until the 20 second mark. No champs may be swapped after.  

While in game, the Jungle role must have the smite summoner spell.  If the Jungler does not have smite, no other team member can have smite. (Spellbook being the exception)

In game, players may swap lanes solo lanes. The bot duo may also swap to another lane, but must stay paired together for the beginning of the game. (Roaming is allowed)

3.3. Game/Match Process

​

3.3.1. Pause Limits
A team may pause the game a total of 3 times in game for rules 3.3.1 & 3.3.2..  Each team is allotted 15 minutes of pause time per game. If a team abuses the pause limit, the game will go under review by the LAS and a ruling will be made. Further more a team cannot pause the game during any team fight. The team with the connection issue must wait for the proper moment to pause even if it means losing a fight/skirmish. 

 

3.3.2. Disconnection or Lag

If a player was disconnected or is experiencing lag, the team may pause the game to problem solve. If the problem has not been solved in the allotted time, the team experiencing the issue may attempt to continue the game with the disconnect or lag or they may forfeit the game.

3.3.3. Glitches

Glitches can be experienced throughout a game. A pause can be used to attempt to resolve the glitch. The team experiencing the issue may attempt to continue the game with the glitch or they may forfeit the game. If a team is reported as bug abusing, the game will be put under review and a ruling will be placed accordingly.

​

3.3.4. Remake

A remake may be done if both teams agree at any point in the game/match. If a remake is agreed upon, the drafts for each team must remain the same. Remakes must be rescheduled to a later time/date if there are LAS games still scheduled to be played.

3.3.5. Break Time in Between Best of Three Games
Teams have 15 minutes after a game in a match series. Once the break has concluded, both teams must join the created lobby and continue on to drafting.

3.4 Post Game/Match Results

3.4.1  Posting Post Game/Match Results

After a game/match has concluded, post the post game results in the LAS discord under the correct page. The results should have a screenshot of the post game lobby/lobbies and a simple message clearly stating what team has won and lost. (Tag each team role in the post)

4. Player Conduct

​

4.1 LAS Members

​

4.1.1.  Expectations From Each LAS Member

The expectation from all LAS members is to be respectful to all other members and non members. We are all "low elo" players not playing in the LEC, LCS, LPL or LCK. We all want a place to be competitive but no toxicity. Be respectful, competitive and most of all, helpful to other LAS teams. If the LAS deems this rule has been breach by any team or member of the LAS, the LAS will punish the team or member with a single warning. This warning will effect acceptance in future events and seasons. If breached a second time, the LAS will ban the team or player indefinitely.  
 

4.2 Suspensions, Disqualifications, & Dismissal

4.2.1.  Suspensions

Any violations of the LAS rules can result in a suspension by LAS staff.  

​

4.2.2. Disqualification

-A team can become disqualified for missing 5 or more games.

-A team can become disqualified for playing with a player or account not registered on their roster or properly E-Sub'd.

-A team can become disqualified if caught playing with a smurf/smurf account.

-A team can become disqualified for being toxic in the community. 

-A team can become disqualified for arguing over rules written here after agreeing to them upon registration.

4.2.3. Dismissal

The LAS maintains the right to dismiss any account for competitive integrity with the proper evidence provided. 

​

4.3 Forfeit Limits

​

4.3.1.  Forfeit Counter

The LAS expects all teams to honor their opponent and be on time with the right amount of players for a match on game day. If a team is unable to play in a game, a forfeit is recorded. A team can forfeit up to 5 games in a single season (Regular season and grand tournament). If a team reaches 5 forfeits they can be denied participating in future LAS events and seasons.

4.4 Streaming LAS Games

​

4.4.1. Streaming
Each player is allowed to stream their own perspective of any LAS game at anytime. Note that the LAS cannot track stream sniping consistently and players are highly advised to delay their stream one (1) minute or more to avoid stream snipers.

​

4.4.2. Stream Sniping

No LAS player is allowed to stream snipe any LAS opponent during a game.  If caught doing this, the LAS will take action under rules 4.2.1 & 4.2.2..

​

4.5 Team and Organization Names

​

4.5.1. Name and Logo Approval

The LAS can decline any team name or logo when registering.

 

4.5.2. Name and Logo Change

There are no team logo or name changes permitted at any point during a season.
